I would like to add to this wonderful memorial notice of his life that Attorney Candon is also survived by and admired by countless legal professionals who had the opportunity to work with and for him over the last 45 years. I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to search titles for him and learn from him for nearly 20 years. My sincere condolences to his family, colleagues, and community.

Dear Marty, I just learned of Jack's passing and my heart is broken for you and the wonderful family and friends--all over--that are going to miss him so very much. He brightened every interaction I ever had with him! He was one of the truly good good men--a true gentleman with a twinkle, raucous sense of humor, and delicious mischievousness. He was a smart man, but above all he was kind. And one of a kind. Many precious memories of visiting Santa and Mrs Claus will keep him alive in the magic of Christmas, always. Love and my deepest condolences,
Nancy (Forsythe) Harrington

Marty, Patrick and family,

I am having difficulty processin the passing of Jack, as I am sure you are. He was always present, smiling and giving to town, community and individuals as anonymous as Santa could do. A gem, a icon, a celebrity - there just are not words for how he impacted life in the Upper Valley and it seems impossible that he no longer here with us. He always was giving- a key player in the 19 Days success (as well as an endless list of other non-profits). I am sure his legacy, work and generosity will not end or be forgotten. Unfortunately, I am not able to attend services on Fri. but I will be thinking of you all. I hope to cross paths in person soon. Love and hugs, Dan

Marty, I was shocked and deeply saddened by the news of Jack’s passing. There are so, so many memories of working with Jack for over 40 years. Every time I walked into his office, Sixties music was playing softly in the background, and we would exchange the latest jokes. No one could tell a joke like Jack. My grandsons will never forget visiting Santa at the Norwich Inn years ago. I will miss him.
